How is this different from requesting a read receipt? +
A read receipt depends on the recipient choosing to confirm it and proves nothing about the content. Here the evidence is generated automatically by a trusted third party: full content, attachments, delivery to the destination server and opens, all with a sealed date. The recipient cannot prevent the evidence from existing.
What if the email ends up in the spam folder? +
Delivery is certified when the recipient's mail server accepts the message, which is the technically provable fact — just as a burofax (the Spanish registered-letter service) is served at the recipient's address. Our messages go out through reputable, authenticated infrastructure to maximize inbox placement.
Can I certify the attachments? +
Yes — it's one of the cornerstones of the service. Each attachment is identified in the report by its cryptographic hash, so you can prove exactly which document and which version was sent, not just that “something was sent.”
Does the recipient need to sign up anywhere? +
No. They receive a normal email in their usual inbox and read it like any other. The entire certification is transparent to them, which translates into more reads and fewer excuses.
